Its been awhile!!!!

So it has been entirely too long since my last post! I am terrible at this blog thing! I established this site to keep our closest family and friends updated with everything going on in our lives...but so much for that in the last year! I'm sad to say that I don't even remember what my last blog was about...and haven't had the time to go back and read it. Imagine that!! My goal is to keep this blog going and to eventually create a book with all of these postings for our boys to have. Well- I should probably say for their wives...because we all know that no boys are going to take the time to read something like this! haha!

Well, where to start?? This last year has been a crazy one- probably the fastest year that I personally can ever remember. Or not remember. August started out with a bang...Camden beginning kindergarden, Landan 4th grade, Morgan daycare, and my first day of being the Intermediate school Art teacher. What a year it has been! I must say that I have been truly blessed by getting to know the kids at the school, but most of all getting to spend more time in the environment that my child is in every day. Having a bad day is never as bad when I get to see my sweet Landan's smile!! Cam has done exceptionally well in K this year. He is completely in love with his teacher and she has done an amazing job with him. He has really jumped in and made tons of friends, including his bff that he refers to as "Ryan spiderWEBB!" Landan has really begun to open up this year, too...and made tons of great friends. When I say open up....I really mean it! He is really finding who he is and what he stands for. He has had his first little crush- a very sweet little 4th grader. However- he broke up with her b/c he didn't get to play football during recess! Ha! So glad that he finds that more important in his life right now! Seeing him grow up and be such a great kid just reassures me so much more that God NEVER makes mistakes! I don't know what I would do without that kid! I really find more and more everyday that he is ME made over!! His personality- everything. I think he is my little clone. I am so thankful that God chose me to care for him...and for all of my boys! I never dreamed of being the only girl in a house full of boys- but what a blessing they are! Well- Morgan also started daycare this year, which was a transition that really scared me. I was very worried about the change, but he has done amazing and is loving his "tiny school." He looks forward to going every day and loves his teachers. He has learned so much and his teacher even told us that he is the smartest kid in the whole class! He knows all of his ABC's...can recognize all of the letters and knows many of the sounds. I think we may have an early reader on our hands! Woo Hoo! He constantly blows us away with his little sayings and even big boy things that he says- and yes, they are not all good!! I'll never forget the first time i heard him say, "I'm dunna kick you butt!"....ha! I couldn't help but laugh! Tomorrow is his 3rd birthday!! And he sure knows it! When you ask when his birthday is, he says with excitment, "MARCH 30!!!!!" He cant wait!

Ok, so moving on to other things going on in the last year- Whew! Sorry this is so long!! The boys have just started baseball- my favorite time of year! There truly is nothing that I love more than waking up on a cool Saturday morning to go watch my boys play ball and love every minute of it. They are loving it too and just live for the next game. Of course Morgan isn't old enough- but will be next year! Watch out China Spring!! He is one wild kid! Last game Camden had several GREAT catches at first base...and Landan is doing a wonderful job pitching! The kid is also as tall as I am. We had predicted that by the end of 4th grade that he would pass me up...and I know that by August we will be there!! I can't believe it! Also another big change as of lately. Brent just found out about 2 weeks ago that if he wanted to keep his job- that we would have to move to Houston. I'm sure most of you know what his job situation has been like for a long time now- so a move would just be ridulous. We have constantly been in prayer about this and don't feel that a move is what God is leading us to do. Anyway- long story short...God is really working in that situation and we will see what happens!

So I have to brag on my husband...who around our group of friends has earned the name "SuperDad!" Only because he really is!!! He is honestly the greatest husband on earth, and I can't imagine what I would do without him. Throughout all of my long crazy days at school, my homework and all things we are involved in- he is amazing. He helps with the kids SOOOO much more than I could ever ask for, cooks dinner, cleans, does laundry, and loves me through all of my "I'm losing my mind days"...and trust me! Sometimes I'm hard to love! He is just another blessing that God sent my way. He is the best!!!! Speaking of my school- I will finish up at the end of this summer and finally have my Psychology degree!! yay! It's about time!

I promise I will update more often...and plan on updating pictures soon! Love you all!

So Blessed!!

Sorry for the delayed post! The last few weeks have been so crazy...baseball and t-ball are in full swing and we meet ourselves going and coming. Somewhere in between all of the practices, games, church events, school, etc. we look for every possible moment to spend time with each other and love every second of it!! We know that this time is limited- especially due to the fact that our schedule is filled EVERY single night of the week! Whew! I have to admit that as much as I love watching the boys play baseball- I am ready for a break. I think they are, too! Now, on to all of the scoop! ;)

This post brings lots of exciting news! So much has happened since my last post- and I have waiting to share! So..read on!

It really is amazing what God will do in your life if you just TRUST Him! I have been so very blessed to get to see God work in our lives. As a child, I remember trusting in Him- but I don't know that I really was able to SEE Him work until I found out that I was having Landan-- from that point, He continues to AMAZE me! All He really wants is for us to give our hearts to Him- and to trust! Boy- has that been a tough one! Not the believing, of course- I made that decision when I was 9, and I know it was the most important of my entire life. But the trusting part was difficult up until that time. I just couldn't figure out how on earth I could trust someone that I couldn't see! He showed me how! And I do see Him! Since we moved from Stephenville- we have literally sat back and watched Him do his work- from Brent's job, to finding a place to live, wonderful friends, and an amazing church and church family ( the list goes on! ). Since Brent started working for WraSer, we have prayed that whatever happened, that we would remember that it was a part of HIS plan. Though the job has definitely had it's ups and downs- God has provided in ways that we would have never thought of! Brent just recently found out that he will be taking over all of the Austin area, along with what he already has. Yes, this is a huge undertaking- tons of doctors, and tons of work for him. But- as I mentioned- we know God has a plan and we are trusting in Him to lead the way :)

Several months ago, I began praying for my job situation. Knowing that I was nearing the end of my school (and getting my teaching degree), I felt that God was leading me to go to work. Many prayers were prayed and God has answered. After hearing that the Intermediate school here in China Spring could possibly be hiring an Aide, I called the Principal..We had a great talk- and told me that Yes, in fact he might have an opening or two- This actually came as a huge surprise due to the fact that EVERYONEE wants to work at this school!!! :) To make a long story long-..lol, I felt that God was leading me to step out on faith and trust that He would provide. YIKES!! This was extremely scary to me in a sense, but we felt very strongly about this! Sure enough- I took the plunge ;) Once school is out, I will no longer be keeping Kyle and Katelynn..this was a very hard decision- I love those kids!!! They are truly like my own- and I have had Katelynn since she was just a few weeks old! Thankfully, we are great friends and will continue to see each other very often :) So, yes- without a job to fall back on- we trusted. Just a few weeks after this decision was made- I got the call. I was hired as the new Art Teacher/Intervention Aide for the China Spring Intermediate school :) I will have my very own classroom full of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders!! Yay!!! Not only that, Landan will be right around the corner from me :) I had been a little concerned about what I would do this summer- but yet another prayer answered. I will go to Coleman for a few weeks out of the summer to help Mom and Lauren out at the school. I'm really looking forward to this wonderful time with them. :) Landan will go to Bluecat basketball camp and I'm sure we'll spend some time @ the pool. We are also going to pre-teen camp and get to continue helping Lauren plan the wedding =) Of course we will miss Brent ( he will stay home and work) ..but it will only be a few weeks out of the summer. Our sweet Camden will be in Kindergarten and Morgan will be at a great little daycare just behind the Administration building. Things have really just fallen into place perfectly.

With Mother's Day being yesterday, I am reminded of how blessed I really am. I have the greatest husband and children anyone could EVER EVER ask for- and the GREATEST Mom!! I am so thankful for each of them. I will never ever question why God allowed me to become a mother at 16, it has been the greatest thing that ever happened to me. It helps that I have the most wonderful Mom on earth who has set such a great example. My day was spent at home, just relaxing :) Brent had breakfast going before I was ever out of bed- then we went to church, napped and just spend time together. The boys gave me the sweetest cards- :)

Camden will be turning 5 this Thursday- my how time flies :) He is such a ball of fire! We are taking him to the circus Thursday- and he is pumped!! He said he wants to turn 5- and then just be 5 forever. He doesn't want to grow up! He said he wants to live with us forever..haha! I'll remind him of this when he is about 16! Yesterday he said: "Mom- do you see all these hairs on my arm? I am pulling them out. I don't wanna grow up and get hairy!!"...

Sorry for the super long update- there's just so much to tell. Thanks to all of you that have been such prayer warriors and encouragers to us :) We love and appreciate you more than you will ever know!!

Oops!

Forgot to mention the fact that Lauren got to go with me to 80's Bunco! That explains the pic with our hair in side ponytails...ha!

More pics!!

Sorry its been so long!!!

I'm sorry it has been so long since my last post! I plan to update way more often than this!! We have had a very busy last few weeks with Cam starting tball and Landan starting baseball. We have found out who our coaches are and have already began practicing. As crazy as it sounds, Cam's little team (CS Cougars!) practice twice a week for at least an hour and a half!! I think that is entirely too long for 4 and 5 yr olds to have to concentrate..but I guess they didn't ask me, did they?!? Landan practices twice a week, too-but only for about an hour. Brent is the asst. coach for Landan's team, and I'm pretty sure they are the Red Raiders :). Cam was sooo excited about his first practice!! As he was practicing, he would just look over at me and smile!! He wanted to make sure I was watching :) It was pretty cute.

2/29- 3/5, Brent was gone to Nashville, Tenn. for Wraser training. Lauren came to visit us and help make the week go by faster. I was so thankful she came..it was a REALLYYY tough week for me. Thankfully we stayed busy with wedding stuff and Mom came to visit Friday morning. Brent got home Friday afternoon and we were SOOOO happy to see him. While he was gone, we worked very hard to have a few "surprises" for him when he got home. One project was Cam and Morgan's room. We recently moved Morgan into Cam's room in hopes that he would start sleeping better (Didn't work! ;). Cam wanted a "fishing room" and I tried in every possible way to NOT have to repaint the room. It didn't work! Lauren and I got the room finished and the boys love it! It is so cute!! I also started cleaning out the garage so that we could park 2 cars in it again. I finally got it finished and thankfully it was a success!! I think Lauren and I were successful with the wedding stuff, but not only that it was just so much fun!! I haven't gotten to spend time with Lauren like that in forever, and I really enjoyed it! I think she was completely worn out by the time she left this crazy house!! Ha!

This last week we went to Coleman for spring break. We had plans of camping a night or 2, but the boys were having so much fun at Mom and Bahpoo's that we just stayed put. Of course, as always..Mom and Dad cooked an AMAZING dinner for us every single night :) The great food is always one of the highlights of our visits!! Growing up I always claimed to be the "City Girl." I didn't think I would ever miss the country, but boy was I wrong!! I love the quiet peacefullness of it all!! My old bedroom..that I have to share with Brent now..haha..jk!, is great. It is one of my favorite rooms of the house. It has 5 windows and the sunshine just beams in. There is nothing like waking up to the beautiful sunshine out in the country. I really cherish every moment I get to spend there with Mom and Dad. Landan has really learned to love the country, as well. I think he is really a country boy at heart. This weekend he loved just going outside whenever he wanted..taking his bb gun, walking thru the pasture, playing baseball in the field, fishing at the tank, etc. Yesterday, he told me he felt like that was his home. He wants soooo bad for us to move to Coleman!! He cried on the way home and once we got back to Waco. He lives for every minute out there! I explained that summer was coming and he would soon be able to go back and hang out whenever he wanted! I can't forget to add a few of the things that the boys say..haha! One morning somehow we got to talking about Albert Einstein. Brent was talking about how smart of a guy he was and whatever he was known for..haha! I can't remember. Anyway, I added that I think he was an atheist!! Landan immediately said, " Well, i guess that means that I am smarter than Albert Einstein!! 'Cause I know there's a God!" It just made mom and I cry!! What a great kid! Also, Camden is always full of funny, witty comments, as most of you know! You truly NEVER know what that kid is thinking..or worse, what might come out of his mouth. This time it was just funny! We were getting ready for dinner when Mom and I noticed he was scratching himself..like most men do! Ha! I just looked at him funny..and he said, "it itches!.." I said "well, whats wrong?" and his response was,"Don't ask me..ask God! He knows everything!" Hahaha Anyway, needless to say, we had a GREAT time, as always! I even got to help out Mom and Lauren at school a little bit. It was lots of fun and great experience. Sorry for such a long update!! I will make it a priority to update more often. I am going to add a few pics today, too! Love you all :)

My Great Idea!

I have decided that since it seems that everyone has a blog these days, maybe it is my turn! I just think it is a fun way for family and friends to stay in touch and keep up with each other. Now that facebook has decided to become so complicated, this should be easier! I am going to try to update as often as I can--but beware!! We seem to have a crazy life :)

This Friday is Brent's 27th birthday! Yikes ;) I can't believe that he/we are not too far from 30! Scary. I remember being 10 and thinking i'd never make it to 16...much less 30! Now Landan isn't too far from 10. It doesn't seem possible. He turned nine in december, and is almost as tall as I am! I knew it would happen, just not soo soon! He is doing great in school and amazing when it comes to sports. His favorite sport is basketball, and he can kick Brent's booty any day!! I don't hardly even try. I can't even shoot the ball when he is in front of me with his arms up..ha! He loves loves loves the Texas Longhorns! Brent is his basketball coach..so Landan got to name the team and decide on the team colors. I bet you can guess both!..He is so amazed with Colt McCoy--and as a parent, I am completely fine with that. If your child is going to look up to someone, I am just thankful he chooses Colt. He is such a awesome Christian guy--and Landan recognizes that. He was laying in bed Monday night and we were talking. He said something that I thought was so amazing!! He said, "Mom, you know what is cool? Colt McCoy waited his whole life to play that Championship game, but he didn't get to play...and he was ok with it." We went on to talk about how God holds the greatest plans for our life...We are so thankful that He does!!!

Saturday, Landan will have his last basketball game, then it's on to baseball. Tryouts Saturday, too. Cam doesn't have to try out, but he will be playing t-ball this year!! We are so excited to watch both of them play. We know Landan does a great job, and really loves baseball. Last year he started pitching and did a pretty great job, I might add :) Camden is just more of the theatrical type..so it will be interesting. He is super excited though, and has been practicing every day for the last 2 weeks! He is such a little comedian, as usual. You have to watch him..you never know what is going to come out of his mouth!! A day or 2 ago, I was tucking him in bed. He grabbed my face and looked into my eyes. He said, "Mommy, you are the best Mommy in the whole wide world." He went on to say, "Dad told me to say that!!" What a little stinker! He is such a silly kid :) He is just a smaller version of his Daddy.

Little Morgan is just Morgan...busy as a bee and into EVERYTHING! His personality is really coming out. Just as headstrong as Camden and just a little monkey. He spends his time chasing after Lucy, our shih-tzu and climbing to the top of tables and jumping off. I'm not joking either. He loves to climb...and JUMP! He also loves Scooby Doo and ICARLY. He talks 24/7 and is spoiled rotten, just like his older brothers.

Brent is still working here in Waco, for WraSer Pharmaceuticals. He travels to different areas most days, so remember him in your prayers! I stay home with the boys and keep Kyle and Katelynn Benson. They are like my own and so precious to our family!! I'm hoping to post some pictures of the boys soon!
